Islamic Legal Services

Our Islamic Legal Services team has a detailed understanding of the Shariah principles involved in real estate, development and investment, and residential property. The team has a unique mix of experienced private practice lawyers, bank lawyers and an Islamic scholar, who has a detailed understanding of the conventional and religious principles governing the area, to ensure that our service covers all issues, whether of a commercial or religious perspective. Being based in the Midlands we are able to provide a national coverage and a full service to our clients, be they of a borrower or lender nature, without the “big firm” costs which are typical for such transactions. We are one of the very few firms on the Islamic Bank of Britain panel. Our in house scholar, Mr Syed Shafiul Alam, is always at hand to provide his expert knowledge on the broad range of issues which arise in Shariah compliant transactions. Our expertise covers transactions involving the following Islamic Finance principles:

  1. Murabaha;
  2. Musharaka;
  3. Ijaara;
