The trustees of a number of pension schemes turned to Christopher Nuttall, Partner and Head of Pensions, when they required guidance on a buy-in transaction. Christopher worked within the commercially-driven timescales to secure an efficient process to remove pension scheme risk by fully insuring members’ benefits. This involved advising on the benefit specification and transaction contract, with risks covered off appropriately.

This provided improved benefit security for members and delivered key steps in the journey plans of those schemes to have investments covering all benefits – or, with support from Christopher and the team, to buy-out and wind-up.
