Client Story

When land is not an asset of community value

31st May 2018

When local residents wanted to stop the development of land belonging to Rosalind Andrews’ client, they applied to register it as an asset of community value (ACV) which could have affected any grant of planning permission.

She helped the landowner to object to the application on legal grounds, so that the request was refused, and could not affect the landowners’ own application for planning permission for the development.

The client said: “We are delighted by the great news on the ACV application – great work by the HCR team.”
