Central England
This photo of the Charles Rennie Mackintosh house in the centre of Northampton is the only place in the world where Mackintosh’s style can be seen in its original setting. He was an innovative architect ahead of his time and we admire that about him which is why we’ve chosen to feature this image.

I’m deeply ingrained in our local community, driven by a genuine passion for fostering connections between our team and local businesses and charities. Through shared events and initiatives, we strengthen the ties between our office and the communities we serve.
Our Central England solicitors
As a regional hub in the heart of England, our large office adjacent to Northampton University’s Waterside campus has grown out of client demand. With a heritage of almost 200 years behind us, the Central England team looks to the future, serving businesses, organisations, and individuals across eight adjoining counties.
The dynamism of our new office and the thriving businesses around it is reflected in our expert team. As a Top 50 law firm, we offer the breadth of legal specialisms you’d expect, and our Central England solicitors are highly recommended in leading legal directories. Working across sectors including agriculture, healthcare, property, charities, manufacturing, technology, and sports, we partner with clients to ensure a bright future for the region.
Working with our communities to build a stronger future
HCR Law’s Central England office is proud to support two vital charities this year: Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity and Maggie’s Northampton.
Cynthia Spencer provides specialist hospice care for people with life-limiting illnesses across West Northamptonshire, offering free support to patients and their families at home, in its inpatient unit, and at its wellbeing centre. Our Central England team is committed to helping ensure this care remains accessible through events such as Cycle4Cynthia and the Twilight Walk.
Alongside this, we’re backing Maggie’s Northampton, a new centre offering free practical and emotional support for anyone affected by cancer. Built in the grounds of Northampton General Hospital, Maggie’s provides a safe, welcoming space for thousands of visitors each year. Through fundraising and volunteering, we’re proud to strengthen our ties with the community and help these charities deliver their invaluable services.
Regional partnerships
We’re proud to be at the heart of the communities we serve, providing legal expertise to strengthen the Central England economy. With a strong background in technology and corporate law, we advise companies looking to thrive in emerging spaces. Alongside this, we invest in partnerships – such as our role as official legal partner of English Premiership Rugby team Northampton Saints and through associations with regional organisations like the Silverstone Technology Cluster. We’re also delighted to support the Northampton Theatres Trust, which includes the ‘Royal & Derngate’.
Recently, Partner and Joint Head of our Central England Office, Dominic Hopkins, sat down with former Saints players Alex Waller and Tom Wood to explore life after rugby. In an inspiring conversation, they shared how they transitioned from professional sport to running a successful bespoke furniture business, discussing motivations and challenges of starting a new chapter.
