Nobody likes to imagine a future without a loved one. It’s scary to think about and even harder to talk about, but our wills, trusts and probate lawyers can help ease some of the burden. We make wills, set up trusts, mitigate tax liabilities and administer estates, and no matter your current life situation, we’ll ensure your family’s future is protected.

What happens if I die without making a will?
Depending on your circumstances, it could not only leave your family and loved ones with lots of additional stress, but it could also result in your wishes not being carried out as you want. Don’t leave it to chance – put a will in place as soon as you can.
If I transfer my house to my children now but still live in it, does it mean I won’t have to pay tax or nursing home fees?
Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite work that way. Every person is different, so it’s best to get in touch with us to see how we can help you reduce your inheritance tax ethically.
Will my attorneys under a lasting power of attorney (LPA) or enduring power of attorney (EPA) have authority to deal with my estate after my death?
No, they won’t. The authority given to attorneys under an LPA/EPA falls away upon death, and it’s then up to your personal representatives to deal with how your estate is administered.
We’re one of the most respected legal firms in the country, and we particularly excel in looking after older and vulnerable clients. We’re always happy to meet you where it suits you best so we can discuss your needs in a place you feel comfortable in, and we’ll do whatever it takes to ensure your will is up to date – in one instance, we updated a hospitalised client’s will within 24 hours and delivered it to his bedside.
Many members of our team hold Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners qualifications, and are part of Solicitors for the Elderly. We also act for a number of private family charitable trusts – an area that is constantly growing.
We’re proud to help people from all walks of life – whether you have a small estate with no inheritance tax implications, or a multimillion-pound estate with lots of complex requirements, we can make sure your wishes are fulfilled.
Through our Wills at Work service, we help companies like Oracle, Jelf and Ecclesiastical Insurance to remove the complications of will writing for their staff, providing the employee and the employer with the confidence that their future is planned and considered.
We successfully represented the beneficiaries of an estate in a claim against executors who delayed the distribution of the assets of the estate for four years.view full case study
