HCR Law rankings rise in Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2026

HCR Law has again been recognised among the UK’s leading law firms advising on private wealth in this year’s Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide.

This year 20 partners, alongside four associates and a senior consultant are listed in the rankings (up from 17 last year) with eight lawyers in band 1 and eight in band 2.

Katherine Hague, Head of Private Wealth at HCR Law who has been listed in the rankings herself, said: “Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide is one of the most respected independent rankings for private wealth lawyers and law firms advising individuals, families, family businesses, trustees and landed estates.

HCR Law has achieved its first UK-wide ranking for Landed Estates, which reveals the true growth and expansion of our Agriculture and Estates team, and we have our second ranking for Private Wealth Disputes, increasing our presence to four rankings across three regions (Cambridgeshire, Midlands and Wales). This growth has been supported through our expansion across to Cambridge and Leamington Spa.

Seven individuals have been ranked in Cambridge alone. These include Partners Daniel Curtis (Joint Head of the Private Client team), Bernadette O’Reilly, Elizabeth Davies and Katherine Hague (Head of Private Wealth sector)

Five lawyers are listed in the ‘Associates to Watch’: These are Keri Rowan, Legal Director Alex Hunt and Alexandra Francis – all based in our Cambridge office, Harriet Black who works across our Hereford and Worcester offices and Senior Associate Hauke Harrack in our Northampton office.

Nia Griffiths, who was recently promoted to Head of Private Client in our Cardiff offices, has been named as a rising legal talent who is actively driving the firm’s growth in Wales, as has Tom Murphy-Kirkhope who is based in our Cheltenham office – this is the second year that Tom has been named as a Chamber’s “Up and Coming lawyer”.

In Cheltenham, Mark Hartley is again listed as senior statesperson, awarded to lawyers who maintain close links with major clients and continue to contribute to their firm’s success.
