Client demand brings lawyers home to Cardiff

23rd January 2020

Demand from Welsh clients is bringing a 12-strong team from top 100 law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys to Cardiff, establishing the firm’s first office in Wales on February 3.

With partners specialising in technology and IP, litigation and dispute resolution, employment, agriculture, family law and real estate, the team will offer services to business and individuals alike.

Head of the office Hefin Archer-Williams said: “We’ve been working in Wales for years and the time has come to bring the team here – for us, it’s a brilliant move because it brings many of us back to our roots, and for our clients, it means that we are much nearer to them.

“Working across Wales, as we have done, will be much easier from Cardiff and we’re looking forward to expanding our practice further.”

The team includes eight other partners – Nicola McNeely, HCR’s head of technology and a non-executive director of Business in Focus; regulatory experts Bryn Thomas and Aled Owen; Chris Mayers, employment specialist and mediator; real estate finance specialist Clare Day, family lawyer James Grigg and wills, trusts and estates expert David King.

Clients’ appetite for HCR’s approach to providing legal advice is demonstrated by the firm’s continued rapid organic growth each year.
