Five new partners lead major promotions round

12 April 2022

Five new partners lead HCR’s largest-ever promotions round; 25 lawyers are celebrating their promotions alongside 11 newly-qualified solicitors.

Four of the new partners are in the firm’s growing real estate team – Simon Cooper in Cambridge, Laura Greenman in Wye Valley, Emme Raynsford and Morgan West in Cheltenham, alongside Hayley Phelps in the restructuring and insolvency (R&I) team in Worcester.

Rod Thomas, managing partner, said: “This is without doubt the largest promotion round we have ever had; it both recognises the talent and dedication of all those who have been promoted and shows the range of opportunities we offer.

“It is no coincidence that it swiftly follows the promotion of 11 newly qualified solicitors at the end of their training, beginning their legal careers with us. All these appointments are thoroughly deserved, and we congratulate all of those celebrating.”

Ruth Sheret in the Worcester regulatory team has been made a legal director; moving up to senior associate level are Janeen Brindley (real estate), Deanne Hamilton (R&I) and Cris Manuel-Hughes (dispute resolution) in Cheltenham; Helen Cairns-Terry (employment) in the Wye Valley office; Gemma Hill (employment) and Rachel Smith (agriculture and rural affairs) in Northampton; Kate Potter (real estate) and Penny-Jo Wilson (family) in Hereford, and Eimir Tuckett (real estate) and Elizabeth Wickson (Medical Accident Group) in Worcester.

Seven lawyers have become associates; Fahmidah Ali (Medical Accident Group) in Birmingham, Holly Lanigan in the Worcester real estate team, Katherine Dakers in the Worcester employment team, Alexandra Francis (private client) and Alice Gathern (real estate) in Cambridge, Hauke Harrack (private client) in Northampton and Rhys Langley in the Cardiff real estate team. Ashleigh Roberts from Eagle HR has been promoted to become an HR advisor.
